This page lists the cookies and similar browser storage used by this website, travelwithtrouble.com. We use only what the site needs to work. There are no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies, so there is no cookie banner asking you to choose.

Strictly necessary: signing in

These cookies are set only when you sign in, create an account or reset your password on this website. If you only browse the site or open a shared trip, Trouble sets none of them.

• sb-…-auth-token (sometimes split into parts ending .0, .1): keeps you signed in and lets the site show your dashboard. Set by this website using our authentication provider, Supabase. It is renewed while you use the site and removed when you sign out; otherwise your browser can keep it for up to 400 days.
• sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier: a one-time security value used while you complete an email link (for example confirming your address or resetting your password). It is cleared once the link has been used.

Both are first-party cookies on travelwithtrouble.com, sent only to this site, and marked SameSite=Lax.

Your theme choice

• trouble-theme (browser local storage, not a cookie): remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme with the theme button. It stays in your browser until you clear the site’s data, and it is never sent to us. Without it the site follows your device’s light or dark setting.

Network and security

Cloudflare delivers this website. In some cases, such as checking that a visitor is not an automated bot, it can set its own strictly necessary security cookie.

Third-party sites

Maps on shared trip pages load map images from OpenStreetMap’s tile servers. When you follow a link from Trouble to a partner (for example Booking.com, Viator, DiscoverCars, GetRentACar or Airalo) or to Google Maps, you leave Trouble. That site, and any affiliate network the link passes through (such as CJ or Travelpayouts), can set its own cookies under its own policy. See the Affiliate disclosure.

In the app

The Trouble app does not use browser cookies for its own features; what it keeps on your device is described in the Privacy Policy. Partner links opened from the app open in an in-app browser or your browser, where the partner can set cookies as described above.

Your control

• Signing out removes the sign-in cookies.
• Your browser settings let you view and delete cookies and site data for travelwithtrouble.com. If you block cookies for this site, you can still browse it and open shared trips, but you cannot sign in.
