Delete my account
Last updated: 18 October 2026
You can permanently delete your Trouble account and its data at any time. Deletion cannot be undone.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Trouble and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap Profile in the dock (or, on Home, the round button with your initial at the top), then ⋯ → Settings & account.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation and tap Delete everything.
Trouble deletes the account straight away, signs you out and shows “Your account and trips have been deleted”. If the deletion cannot finish (for example without a connection), the app tells you and asks you to contact us; you can also try again.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account, with every sign-in method linked to it (email and password, Apple, Google).
- All trips you own, with everything on them: itineraries, areas, private notes, packing lists, expenses, saved hotels and restaurants, tours, car-rental searches and eSIM choices, including trips you remixed.
- Every receipt photo you uploaded.
- Your share links. They stop working (a page may stay cached for a few minutes).
- Collaboration on your trips: members lose access, and your invites and invite links stop working.
- Your membership of other people’s trips: you lose access to them.
- Your Discover profile, posts, comments, likes, saves, follows, blocks, reports and Activity, with their photos. Your profile’s and posts’ pages on this website stop working.
- Your Big Trips, with their check-ins, live route updates, On your route city and family links (the family pages stop working), and your own link to anyone else’s Big Trip you follow.
- Your support requests, screenshots and ratings, and your email updates subscription.
- Your plan record in Trouble (plan, trips used, Trouble+ credits), your saved preferences and your notification settings.
What is not deleted
- Trips owned by other people that you collaborated on stay with their owners, including the changes you made. Their activity history keeps the display name and the one-line description of each change you made.
- Copies other people made of a trip you shared or posted to Discover (Remix, or Save to My Trips on their device) belong to them.
- Data on your device. The app keeps a local copy of some data, such as trips, the last Big Trips opened and preferences. Travel documents, journal entries and the photos of your own day items are deleted from the phone with your account; delete the app to remove the rest from that device.
- Purchases and subscriptions. Purchase records held by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and by our purchase processor RevenueCat, are kept under their policies. A subscription is not cancelled when you delete your account (see below).
- Emails already sent to you or to us, and routine server logs that can contain request details for a limited time.
- A one-way fingerprint of your email address, kept for up to 12 months, solely to stop the free trial being claimed again. It cannot be turned back into your address and holds only whether the free trip and how many free AI Actions were used. Signing up again with the same address within that time continues from there; purchases are never affected.
Cancel subscriptions separately
Trouble Pro and No Ads are billed by the app store and keep renewing until you cancel them there. On iPhone or iPad open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, choose Trouble and cancel. On Android open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Trouble+ is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
Ask us to delete it by email
If you cannot use the app, email [email protected] from the address your account uses, with the subject “Account deletion request”. Tell us how you sign in (email and password, Apple or Google). If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, write from that relay address or include it. We will check that the request comes from the account owner, delete the account the same way as the app does, and confirm by email.
More
To delete a single trip instead, delete it from My Trips in the app. See also the Privacy Policy, the Help centre and Support.
